Having shed 100 pounds of fat while gaining 30 pounds of muscle, my journey embodies the fusion of personal triumph and professional expertise. As both a personal trainer and head chef, my career has been devoted to crafting nutritious meals and menus tailored to transformative results - to now teaching the process.
Despite attending CanFitPro's nutritionist course, I found their methods outdated, prompting my relentless pursuit of truth in the realm of nutrition. Each day, my own nutritional battles fuel a quest for authenticity and evidence-based practices.
My purpose is clear: to demystify health and fitness for generations to come. As I work towards acquiring my dietitians license, I am committed to educating the public with the latest, most effective strategies in nutrition and fitness, ensuring a brighter, healthier future for all.
Not necessarily. In Ontario and most of Canada, the term “Dietitian” is a regulated title, whereas “nutritionist” is not regulated and can be used by anyone. This means that dietitians must meet education and training requirements and be registered with a regulatory body. In Ontario, dietitians are licensed by the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
Personally, I'd like to fix my problems myself without asking for help. We're human, we will always reach a point of relying on someone, and there is no shame in that! I will equip you with the necessary questions and information you need to extract from your dietitian. Like a meeting with a lawyer, we need to ensure you get the most bang for your buck! Book a free consultation with me and talk to your dietitian like the professional you are.
NOTE, Registered Dietitian (RD) appointments and services are covered by many extended health insurance plans.
